This is a premium gift set commissioned by the Russian Government to present to VIP guests from Vietnam. And Mr. Henry Le has additionally crafted a set to serve as a prototype.
The centerpiece of the set is an Elegant Chess Set housed in a box accompanied by a bottle of Vodka, 3 boxes of salted fish roe (with a cooler bag underneath to keep the roe chilled for at least 6 hours and well preserved during gifting), 3 spoons for scooping the fish roe, and a high-quality wooden chess set, housed in a wooden box with wooden compartments for the chess pieces. After the vodka and fish roe are consumed, the box serves the purpose of storing the chess pieces.
The set was designed by artist Henry Le and perfected by Vietnamese artisans and craftsmen with the following features:
- The box can hold a bottle of premium Beluga Vodka snugly fit into its shape.
- 3 spoons are intricately carved and fitted.
- 3 boxes of fish roe are snugly placed in the compartment below with space for ice packs.
- The chess pieces are neatly nestled in a luxurious felt tray, and upon opening, the wooden chess pieces are displayed in their entirety with black and white colors, gold-plated 24k brass base.
For the black pieces:
16 + 1 piece (half set plus an additional Queen to promote) on the black side are crafted from premium Mun wood, with a deep black hue, exceptionally sturdy and beautifully veined, Mun wood is one of the rarest, most expensive, and durable woods, with a smooth grain that gets shinier over time.
Each chess piece is hand-turned and fitted onto a gold-plated brass base with a red suede leather base printed with the Henry Le Chess logo.
The brass base of each chess piece is turned from a solid cast bronze piece and meticulously fitted onto the piece’s base. When holding the pieces, one can feel their weight and solidity.
For the white pieces:
The 16 + 1 white pieces (half set plus an additional Queen to promote) are meticulously crafted from Maple wood – a white-colored wood, smooth and imported from the United States. This type of wood has bright veins, a light color, and gives the chess pieces an exquisite feel to every detail. Because Maple wood is very hard and smooth, it allows for extremely precise and beautiful craftsmanship. Each chess piece in the set is fitted onto a brass base turned from solid bronze, and the base and body of the chess piece are intricately combined in detail, with each round meticulously turned.
The base of the chess pieces is affixed to the gold-plated brass base with a red suede leather base printed with the Henry Le Chess logo.
Both the white and black sides of the chess set, combined with the brass base of each chess piece, are meticulously crafted, creating a sense of luxury and distinctiveness.
This is not just an ordinary chess set for playing; it is a masterpiece that defines the sophistication of chess players.
