I. CHESS PIECE
1. King: (Dimensions: L…, W…, H…)
– The two kings of the two opposing sides are distinct in color and craftsmanship. The red-sided king features a perfect combination of bright white Boxwood wood with beautiful grain patterns, and transparent epoxy glue mixed with fluorescent red color and an appropriate ratio of gold glitter. The wood pieces are arranged in various shapes, then cast in molds with colored glue to form a solid block. All chess pieces are cast and pressure-bonded to ensure a unified structure of durable glue and wood. Meanwhile, the Green-side King (slightly with yellow hue) features a perfect combination of Ebony wood, transparent Epoxy glue mixed with gold color and glitter. The bases of both sets are made of solid block Malabar Ebony wood, creating a sturdy and mysterious feel.
2. Queen: (Dimensions: L…, W…, H…)
– The most powerful piece on this chessboard is designed with a shape and proportion similar to the Staunton Chess standard, the set used for international professional tournaments. However, only the base of the queen piece (along with all other pieces on the board) is designed slimmer with the goal of aesthetics and suitability for a creatively crafted piece, aiming to accentuate the space. The top of the queen piece is turned round and crafted with a finely polished Crown shape by hand. The body of the Red Queen is a perfect blend of Boxwood, fluorescent red epoxy glue, and gold glitter, creating a strong and fitting color sensation for the brighter side. The wood grain of the queen’s body runs in multiple directions, combined with colors and the golden shimmer hidden deep within the red glue, creating visual interest and mystery. The bases of both sides’ queens are crafted from solid block Malabar Ebony wood with beautiful mysterious patterns of green, brown, and twisting or straight veins.
3. Bishop: (Dimensions: L…, W…, H…)
– Both the Red and Green bishops are made with precise proportions and both have bases turned from solid blocks of mysterious black Malabar Ebony wood with beautiful grains. The body of the red bishop is made of Boxwood wood combined with transparent epoxy glue, fluorescent red color, and gold glitter. The wood pieces are assembled in multiple dimensions, perfectly combined with color and glue, creating visually interesting and beautiful effects. The bishop’s top is carved to resemble the standard chess piece and is one of the most beautifully shaped and surfaced pieces on the board.
4. Knight: (Dimensions: L…, W…, H…)
– Inspired by the majestic warhorses with their large, tall stature and full armor, both the Red and Green knights are a perfect combination of design, execution, and finishing from conception to completion. The knights are beautiful in every detail, representing the gallantry and strength of the knights they represent. The body of the knight is an incredibly great combination as the wood pieces and glue sections hide, reveal, and create a sense of movement, combining Wood and Color.
5. Rook: (Dimensions: L…, W…, H…)
– The steadfastness of the rook symbolizes the fortress or castle on the chessboard with an intriguing blend of colors. The red-side rook, like other pieces, is a combination of red color and gold glitter with transparent epoxy glue and Light Boxwood wood. The top of the rook is turned and hollowed with standard rook-style teeth in international tournament chess boards. The base is turned from beautiful Malabar Ebony wood with a beautiful black hue and shimmering wood grain. The rook is one of the most beautifully crafted and uniquely designed pieces.
6. Pawn: (Dimensions: L…, W…, H…)
– Both Red and Green pawns are designed alike with 16 pieces of the same size. Interestingly, each pawn of each side is unique in color, wood grain pattern, and carries its own distinct characteristics within a set of the same size and color scheme. Each pawn is meticulously crafted and extremely beautiful. They are not highly regarded at the start but become extremely important as the game progresses, as they can be promoted to more important pieces.
